Sea Trail - Byrd
211 Clubhouse Road Sunset Beach, NC 28468
|
Opened to the public in the Fall of 1990, each hole of the Willard Byrd Golf Course at Sea Trail Resort & Golf Links, Sunset Beach, NC is memorable for its athetic beauty and precision play. Built around several man-made lakes, each ranging from 14-20 acres, every hole of this par-72 |
| signature course requires accuracy and thought. Strategically placed tee shots are essential for successful play on Byrd's undulating greens. The Byrd course at Sea Trails features good roll to the fairways, some hard doglegs, tight landing areas, large bunkers, lots of water, and large undulating greens. The course is visually appealing, especially the 18th hole which lies between two beautiful ponds finishing at the Jones-Byrd Clubhouse. The course measures 6750 yards from the blue tees; 6251 yards from the white tees; 5561 yards from the gold tees; and 4697 yards from the red tees. This, the third course at Sea Trail, and and probably their best one. |
