Elegant and upscale are two words that instantly come to mind upon entering the gates of Pine Lakes International Country Club. The beautiful 62-room antebellum club was completed in 1927 and has always been a must for photographers both professional and amateur alike. Pine Lakes clubhouse is encompassed by great oaks and towering pines. There you are met by white-gloved caddymasters |
| who are also clad in Scottish attire. Many of these gentlemen have been in the club's employment for 30-40 years, having begun as caddies carrying the bags of some of the most noted golfers in history. |
This beautiful 62-room antebellum club was completed in 1927 and has always been a must for photographers both professional and amateur alike. The clubhouse is surrounded by oaks and towering pines. Thousands of azaleas bloom in early April. It was in this setting in 1954 that Henry Booth Luce's famed "Sports Illustrated Magazine" was founded. Although the clubhouse is completely private for the club members, at present, arrangements have been made for guest play through a very select group of member hotels. Should you be fortunate enough to stay at one of these facilities, We suggest you request a starting time at this " Granddaddy of Myrtle Beach courses."
